Conceptualized as a way to tell an in depth story paired with music, MagChat was the name of a forum meant to act as a platform to worldbuild an environment to set a story within. The site presented itself as something similar to an early-internet forum with chatboards where people within the universe could communicate. These posts would in turn covertly explain the world and setting to the consumer through tidbits picked up over time, as well as offer the opportunity for the public to interact with the live comment section, which they could recieve replies in from in-universe accounts. The tone and manner was meant to capture the grittiness of the internet (not cleaned up at all, people vary from friendly to needlessly rude) and set the stage for a larger story about how art functions within poverty.

Many artwork concepts were made, the first single premiere meant ot happen on the site was rendered, and posts ranging from before the announcement to about a month after release were scheduled, all prior to the abrupt shelving of the project due to disagreements with the lead vocalists manager.
